How TMR thumbsticks work
Traditional thumbsticks use small mechanical potentiometers that physically rub against conductive tracks as the stick moves. Over time, those tracks wear down, which is one of the main causes of drift.
TMR thumbsticks replace those wear-prone parts with:
- A magnet attached to the stick mechanism
- Magnetic sensing chips that measure the magnet’s position
